Wicca the witch, the witch with the itch on the wart at the end of her nose.
Was casting a spell and all had gone well, until a problem arose.
A dragon appeared and said hello my dear I’ve come from a faraway land.
My King’s sent me here for our realm lives in fear, and we hope you’ll lend a hand.
He went on to explain that a witch, Jen her name, had cast an evil curse.
And if a ransom made, did not get paid, then matters would get worse.
We’ve been given your name, for you are famed, for all the good deeds that you’ve done.
And If your legend is true, then I’ve come for you. to send Jen on the run.
Wicca thought for a while then gave a broad smile, I’m glad that you’ve come for me.
She nodded her head and wryly said, I just hope that I’m back for tea.
With a wave of her wand, they both were gone, off to that far away place.
They arrived in a flash with a bish and a bash, who knew what they might face.
When the dust settled down, and Wicca looked round, the scene was far from a joke.
For oh deary me, the people were trees, the king a tall standing oak.
The dragon paid his respects, bowed his long neck and said it’s good news that I bring.
The fact that you’re here has filled us with cheer, said a more than thankful king
Let’s get down to the task and a new spell I’ll cast, said Wicca with haste in her tone.
Before she could act her words were attacked, why can’t you just leave things alone.
Jen had appeared, saying you’re not welcome here, for I’m the witch of this land.
The people need me, and I’ll set them free, if they put gold in my hand
The spell that Jen cast, she thought it a blast, that no one could ever undo.
But she’d got it wrong for Wicca was strong, and simply the best of the two.
Take off this spell and all will be well, said Wicca keeping things cool.
But Jen was so bold, she wanted the gold, and asked instead for a duel
The witch’s faced off, and Jen gave a scoff, until she noticed the wart.
She went weak at the knees at what she could see and suddenly felt out of sorts.
You’re Wicca the witch, the witch with the itch on the wart at the end of your nose?
So I’ve been a fool to ask for this duel, it’s too late to back down I suppose.
It’s always the way that a witch has to pay, for evil spells that she casts.
And I will make sure, for my heart is pure, that this will be your last
Wicca’s wand twitched and her wart felt an itch, and Jen was sent on her way.
And there was a cost, her powers were lost, the price she had to pay.
With Jen out of sight, as day follows night, her spell was broken for good.
The villagers’ fears had now turned to cheers, with a joyous change of mood.
The King offered his thanks and gave Wicca the rank of Witch Defender of Right.
There’s no more to do, and It’s all down to you, we’ll sleep safe in our beds this night.
Wicca said her goodbyes and some children cried, they wished she’d been able to stay,
But she’d completed the task that the dragon had asked and would soon be on her way.
With a bish and a bash, she was home in a flash, as happy as can be.
You would never have guessed, she’d have finished her quest and made it home for tea.
